Without commenting on your case, I'll make some general comments. Incomplete EMDR sessions can result in a variety of responses afterwards, including continued slow processing over days or weeks. This most commonly happens, in my experience, when a recent memory has been targeted, and then the EMDR goes deep into the file folder (metaphorically speaking) that has been holding other experiences that are thematically related, usually from childhood. Then the pressent situation may seem largely resolved, while the historical underpinnings keep percolating for a while. This is why we usualloy prefer to target an early occurrence of the same thematic material, when that is relevant. Other than that, I don't see examples of regression or return of symptoms after EMDR.
