Thank you for clearing that up. I agree that EMDR is more than bilateral stimulation. But I don't see how you can do EMDR without the effect of bilateral stimulation. The eye movement alone is bilateral stimulation. And the bilateral stimulation via other methods than following an object or light with the eyes still causes the eyes to move in the same manner when processing is occurring. So, although you cleared up what you meant, I still don't see the distinction or how you can do EMDR and divorce this central aspect from it. Diane
