    What's really odd is that EMDR and mesmerism are compared, supposedly negatively...

    However, mesmerism gave rise to clinical hypnosis... and hypnosis has long been an acceptable therapy for all sorts of problems and disorders...

    I suppose the original poster meant to imply that emdr's future was just as bright, huh?
