That is very interesting - I've printed it out and will be sharing it with my clinical supervisor (who also does emdr) and emdr supervisor. It has never mentioned in our discussions re. looping so I am wondering if she is not aware of that as a method. Thank you - I'll have to try that and see how it goes. The client that I am currently doing the most emdr with - someone who was formerly DID - is neat in that she has this really insightful internal "old man" advisor that she sees during emdr, and no matter what is going on or how she is looping I just tell her to "ask the old man" and he always gets her unstuck. :) It's pretty neat - I feel like she pretty much does most of the emdr on her own, I just kind of watch and remind her about the old man as needed.
