One of the things I am really concerned about is that I have heard that EMDR promotes fusion or integration and that's not something I even want to consider at this point and maybe never. Really worried about that. But I also want the horrendous affect to be gone from the parts and frags that bring memories up front. It is just so sad. I know that EMDR can do that for us. We've seen it in the past treatments.

I know that this is something that has to be addressed in therapy, but I wonder if you could address this generally. Specifically does fusion or integration happen spontaneously with EMDR and can EMDR be done on just those parts, frags, personalities that are in distress without losing our uniqueness?

I ask this because none of us want to lose who we are. We are each of us good people and it doesn't seem fair that we should lose that uniqueness.

Thank you in advance for your consideration.

    Diane
