Agree with the last post but want to clarify one thing:

The EMDR International Association (not the EMDR Institute) is the body authorized to accredit/approve EMDR training programs. Approved training programs (including the EMDR Institute and many others) are listed on their website, <http://www.emdria.org>. It is very important to find an EMDR therapist that has been appropriately trained, by having completed an EMDRIA-accredited program.
