I just saw an advertisment in the subway yesterday here in New York looking for volunteers for an experimental medication for PTSD. Looks like the Pharmacutical companies are putting there greedy little hands into this disorder now. I really don't know what to think of this. Do you have any idea what this medication is and how it is suppose to effect a person's brain. Of course there will be your standard list of side effects that will outweigh the benefits from the medication I am sure. Also, Francine, were you aware that Florence Nightingale suffered from what seems to be the first documentation of PTSD? She suffered from this and chronic pain for the rest of her life after the Crimean War. Somehow, these two disorders seem to have many parallels. Uncanny! It was believed that her chronic pain may have derived from Typhus fever that she contracted during this war, however, it was never proven. She became bed ridden for a great number of years, although she lived until she was 90. Scott
