Re:EMDR: Preferred treatment for DID/MPD?

To my knowledge there are no controlled clinical outcome studies of any method with DID/MPD. The clinician might have been referring to the fact that a number of former presidents of ISSD use EMDR as part of the comprehensive treatment of this population. A set of guidelines co-authored by Drs. Fine and Young are in the appendix of my 1995 text. Articles on this subject can also be found in the journal Dissociation by Dr. Paulsen and by Drs. Lazrove and Fine.
