    EMDR: Preferred treatment for DID/MPD?
    D. Munn · 4/27/99 at 7:09 PM ET

I recently heard of a therapist, who has been trained in using EMDR, making the statement that it is now the preferred method of treatment for DID/MPD. I'm am wondering if this is, in fact, true.?

I try to keep up with the studies being done in using EMDR, especially as it relates to its use with dissociative disorders, but I haven't come across any articles that would support this type of blanket claim. That's not to say there are not any; it's possible I just haven't seen them yet.

I would appreciate any insight you might provide.
