    Inpatient EMDR
Ed Tryk · 1/20/98 at 1:31 PM ET

I have used EMDR with 3 psychiatric inpatients. Our ave. length of stay is less than a week. In each case, the results were dramatic. Targets: homicidal preoccupation in a multiple PTSD patient; suicidal depression in patient with intractible pain; ditto in a patient with medical problems including fibro myalgia. I would like to be in touch with others who have been doing similar work. It seems to me that this method will fit in nicely with managed care and the drive toward brief hospitialization and objective measurement of success.
