    Compulsive eating/drinking
José Ribeiro · 10/27/99 at 8:21 am ET

I have a patient that drinks over 20 L of water/day, she also eat (yes, eat) coffee and cookies with no control at all. Those are compulsive behaviors that i have been trying to control (i have tried a lot of ways) with her.
Another problem is that this patient also have a bipolar disease, controled with appropiated medication.
She has (related to water) a lot of automic thoughts that we identify and tried to struggle...And we did a lot of behavioral and cognitive methods trying to control those behaviors. The fact is that some improvements have been made, but the compulsive behaviros are still very strong.

    Any suggestions please?

    Sorry for the english
