First of all, thank you for your interest. The problem started 4 years ago, in that time she loved to drink big glasses of water, but she didnīt realize that it was a problem, even when her parents noticed the enormous quantity of water she used to drink.
The need for water increased with time and when her intire life depended on the water and her parents couldnīt do anything to stop her, she asked for help (2 years ago). It didnīt work, she kept on drinking more and more.
4 months ago i started a therapy with her. with identify a.t. such as: "if i donīt drink iīll die"; "i depend on water"; "iīll feel better and stronger after i drink"; "water is my best friend"; etc. She feels very anxious when she doesnīt drink (i did some exposure sessions with her, she didnīt drink but she is completely uncapable to do it alone or with some one else but me). Next i tried some behavioral therapy, but there were little results.
4 months ago she drunk more then 20 L of water in a day, now she drinks 10 to 15 L in a day. I think that this results are not significant in 4 months of therapy.
