    The Head vs the Heart in CT

    In the short time I've been doing (mainly) cognitive therapy, one response I've already gotten tired of hearing in sessions is the response: "Intellectually, that makes sense, but I still feel..." or some variant thereof.

    I imagine that this is something many of you have heard a lot, and I am wondering how you address the client who claims to have cognitive understanding, but not the accompanying emotional change.
