    Self-esteem

    Hi all'

i am doing a research on self-esteem and i have encountered some problems. First of all i could not find nowhere a valid definition of self-esteem. What is in fact self esteem? A personality trait, a cognitive network, a behavior, an attitude?

Second i saw the REBT point of view on the topic and that it is considered that self-esteem leads to long term pathology. What is in fact the difference between self-esteem and unconditioned self acceptance.

Thank you in advance for any suggestions
