Thank You: To Strike a Pose
    by Chuck Yopst, 6/25/98

Somewhere Oscar Wilde is attributed to have said, "There are two purposes in life: the first is to strike a pose, and I don't know what the other one is."

Thank you for your comments and especially paragraph six on "Our role . . . ." It has been my experience and understanding to date that as I become and continue more in touch, aware, of my own affective system and its scripts, I am better able to be a therapist to others in this, letting them take a close lead and explore and become aware. The miracle here and there is when people who have been shaped by horrendous family, group and societal influences, turn into authentic compassionate therapeutic persons themselves.

    Thank you and best wishes.
