Dismell and disgust affect remain something of a mystery to me despite a thorough reading of "Shame and Pride". Perhaps you could fill a couple of holes in my understanding.
Dismell and disgust apparently motivate acceptance/rejection and therefore would seem to play a part in dissociation and projection. Am I correct in this assumption?
"Shame and Pride" touches on these affects but doesn't explain what kinds of stimuli trigger these two affects. How do the density characteristics differ from those of other affects?
I am also curious as to the types of memories that these affects retrieve.
What types of therapy best overcome scripts based in dismell and disgust?
