First, I'd suggest you scan the prior postings and review what has been said about children and EMDR previously. Next, there are several books (by Dr. Ricky Greenwald, Drs. Bob Tinker and Sandra Wilson, and Dr. Joan Lovett), who all wrote about EMDR and children. These books are especially valuable for EMDR clinicians. There is no controlled research regarding trauma at this age, however, many clinicians works with clients who believe themselves to have been traumatized very early. EMDR doesn't require knowledge of the events for processing to work, and is more likely to target the present day symptoms that emerge in the situations you described. The processing may be more of body sensations and/or emotions than of pictures or knowledge of events. Doesn't matter. What needs to process will process. Sometimes the earliest traumas result in attachment difficulties, and there is alot of information regarding attachment disorders available, some on the internet. (Of course, I don't know if your daughter has an attachment disorder, rather, I am speaking generally here). If after reviewing the prior posts you have more questions, you may post them here again and we'll try to answer. Good luck.
