words can hurt

It's difficult to say whether or not on-line interaction can create disorders. I believe that it's possible. We're still adjusting to this new form of communication and it's difficult to see where it may take us. Anything is possible, right? I do believe that it can magnify problems in individuals. We have all seen, or known someone who has been in an abusive relationship. I'm sure we can all agree that words can be just as painful as physical abuse. So, we have a realm where we can only use words. Now, isn't it possible that there is abuse here as well? I witnessed a woman being called names,and told she was useless, and stupid, all by her on-line lover. Still she claimed that they were in love, and that's what mattered. I hate to judge people, but I can't help but question this. Any thoughts?
