Words Can Hurt......

I disagree......it would all depend on the nature of the relationship. If an obnoxious HNG types something inflammatory - it is not offensive. I, actually, find it entertaining to engage in a battle of words with them. When it is someone you are friendly with, or have an online relationship with, then the words can be very hurtful. I have known people who were completely devastated by this kind of thing. This is a very powerful medium, and people get involved in varying degrees and for varying reasons. I know that life long friendships and relationships can be formed here, and to say that words cannot be hurtful is not a blanket statement you can make referring to online activity.
