    Words Can Hurt

    Assuming that you are referring to interactive typing between peoples, I would think that I would just have to disagree with you here. To embrace a notion that words cannot hurt would neccessitate a viewpoint that says online freindships or romances cannot occur either. Evidence suggests otherwise. So, given the FACT that strong feelings of a positive nature can develop, it only follows that one could feel then the pain of negation, rejection, denial, etc etc. I think it valid to suggest that at times we may over-react to certain things, losing perhaps for a moment our perspective of the REAL nature of things.
