PSYCHOLOGY OF CYBERSPACE

What concerns me about the relationships that are being conducted over the net, is really the lack of personal accountability for what is being said. If I were a shy person who had always wanted to be outgoing, I could simply describe myself as being gregarious, without having to ever make the true stretch in my personality. While this may seem somewhat harmless - if I could consistently create a facade of personal growth, would I ever bother doing it 'for real'? Thoughts?
