    An interesting question. Some people may have an online persona that does not generalize to their face-to-face life. But then again, maybe some people experiment with new ways of being online, and then apply that to their face-to-face life. I did once meet in-person an online friend who claimed to be very gregarious, but in-person he was VERY shy. The contrast was rather difficult for me to adjust to.
