Well.. we would like to socialise off-line, but in many cases it wouldn't be possible because of our limitations... I mean physical ones. I would love to meet John Suler or you in person to discuss all those topics in person, but I know it's probably impossible.
Text-based communication is both advantage and disadvantage in my opinion. You can focus on other person point of view not taking into account he/she is blonde/chubby/disabled.
But then lack of body language is a real disadvantage - and even numerous emoticons can't help.
I am not a professional, but I think our mind is constructed in such a a way that one picture really equals a thousand of words. Sometimes we're just not aware of that.
Well, maybe John could enlighten us whether this is a fature of human mind or just an effect of our upbringing?
