John, I couldn't agree more. I've seen some marriages ruined by on-line relationships (talking about romance, of course). Everything should be balanced properly. I have met many wonderful people on IRC - some of them are my very But then there's another question that puzzles me. Let's think about the people who are not able to distinguish between relationship in cyberspace and in RL. Do you, as a professional, think that it wouldn't have happened Is it possible that cyberspace is only a kind of amplifier of something that is deeply hidden within person's mind?
close friends now - we meet in RL, we help each other, but the situation is very clear - my wife knows most of them face-to-face, too.
