I agree...Anonymity can allow you to express diferent sides of your personality online that irl..might not be as "surfaced". Or perhaps you want to develop certain parts of yourself and it is a forum to do so. Where the line is crossed though...since the issue of authenticity is very important to me, as an onliner with "frequent-surfing miles", is that once in a "relationship" with someone...you need to be honest about those parts that you are enhancing etc. This shouldn't be a big issue...because, 1) everyone does it to some degree online, and 2) this occurs irl. Why should it be any different online?
