The usual advice for dealing with weird feelings that arise in meditation is to sit still and observe them. It's the same as with anything else - note the experience and let the moment pass. Whatever arises passes away. By stabilizing yourself you might be retreating to a place where the weirdness is inactive or otherwise controlled, but the underlying cause may still be active. Try, instead, just letting it happen. If you feel a bit disoriented, you might say, "hmm, I feel disoriented, what's that about?" It's like observing an itch without scratching it, or pain in the knee, or any other of a million things that arise during meditation. With metta and good wishes, Dave Birren
