I may be completely incorrect. I am just writing from my experience, and from what I have heard and read. Could it be that you are clearly experiencing your anxiety/emotions for the first time, or beginning to? From my experience, at one point, depression and anxiety that I experience became very focused through meditation. I could put my attention on it at will outside of meditation, rather than it being something that was so global. I could sense the feeling in my chest. So, rather than worrying about the increased anxiety a day after meditation, I would, as I did, be very happy to know that in some ways emotion is relative. It's not that there's a choice about feeling differently. I don't believe that you can just think yourself into changing a feeling, but I do know that you can feel yourself into changing a feeling. Now that you know what freedom from anxiety feels like, you can practice feeling the good feeling. Then little by little your body will learn how to feel differently, you can hope.
