Hypnosis is very distinct from meditation. Yes, both emphasize a dissociation from current vigilant awareness of time, space, logic, and self-other distinction, but while hypnosis focuses attention on past memories or future fantasies, meditation focuses attention on being in the moment. About 25% of the population could be considered "not hypnotizable" by certain researchers. At least, they could be considered to be "very vigilant" and reluctant to suspend environmental vigilance. Try practicing meditation (retraining your attention to be fully focused into immediate sensation). Perhaps your "hypnotizability" will improve - if there is some specific reason why this would be desirable to you!
