I believe the past is the past and what is done is done. No matter how horrible, its done! Now what? Its done, right or wrong. Sure, it can haunt us at times, and we have to look at why we are still haunted by the past. I believe it is fear..that fear keeps us from forgetting. We are afraid that forgetting the past leaves us without a clue to the future, and we are sure the road to the future is somehow dilineated in the past. We are afraid to let it go. Do you think the future is somehow related to the way you comprehend the past "rebirthing experience"? Maybe you can still live the future without understanding the complex world of rebirthing. You were once brave enough to try it, even with anxiety! You got a little more and a little less than you bargained for. You faced a scary experience, rebirthing, and yet your fears were not vanquished. Now what, try it again? Maybe if you do it repeatedly, or with a better rebirther, then you will vanquish your fear? And what if the fear is stil there after rebirthing again? So that does not seem very logical route in light of the information you received about the potential discomforts of rebirthing for some people. What about knowing what it did to you....will it help you to know you were permanently transformed? You know you were, because every minute of our lives mysteriously transforms us. Even our cells of our body change completely every 7 years, I hear. So you are transformed by your experiences. You have not been able to detect any significant difference though, or you would be sure you have changed, for better or worse. You are still guessing, looking for proof you are different, that it was dangerous, but you don't have a smoking gun, just some stories about some unusual after effects you experienced and some ancedotal stories about potentially dangerous consequences from people who you might barely even know. Maybe they are knowledgeable, but were they knowledgeable about you? So without much evidence that you are a completely insane individual, and the prospect that the treatment was actually less powerful than you hoped, as you have still not vanquished your anxieties, then it is apparent that you must look in new directions for powerful experiences that will transform your life. Those are my thoughts.
