    EMDR and Meditation
    flixworld · 7/17/99 at 7:24 am ET

Shapiro the founder of EMDR, claims that a large part of the effectiveness of EMDR is it's capacity for unlocking unprocessed traumatic material that is trapped in neurological mechanism. The application of the EMDR allows a freeing up of the material to conscious momentum and propogates desired reprocessing to adaptive equilibrium. It strikes me that this claim could be made for meditation, CBT, hypnosis, SFT and various other intervention techniques? As a practitioner of all of the aforementioned I'd be most interested in what other's think, especially those that also practise EMDR?
