Sorry, I forgot about what I could have responed to! Step One: We. Step Two: Us. Step Three: Our. Step Four: Ourselves. I know I agree with you, and I even understand you! Unless the individual is in the I relationship, the work that is being done may not be wholly owned by the self. When Bill and Bob got started, they did some wonderful things, and devised a system of recovery that has helped millions! Unfortunately, with addicts & offenders ownership is key. And I believe we lose too many to relapse while we wait for them to get to Step Three and Four. But who am I to say. I know what I saw for 19 years, and I know what I saw for several years after that. And I know what I see. Granted, these are my perceptions of figures emerging from the field, and they do evolve. Peace.
