    Human Accomplishment Review
    Fred H. · 05/14/04 at 5:34 PM ET

JimB—Great review of Human Accomplishment (http://www.sunydutchess.edu/bhs/andrews/magnificent_inequality.htm)--now I won’t have to read the book (although I’m sure I’d love it and I’d agree with everything Murray says). And thanks for your acknowledgement of support, although I’m not sure I deserve it.

However, your “faith in a secularism” (albeit one that’s not the same as relativism), and apparent agreement with Murray’s contention that greatness requires a “belief in truth, beauty, and good,” seems a bit schizophrenic…but that’s probably just binary thinking clouding my judgment.
