State requirements to practice hypnosis

Dear Jeff and Steve,

First I would like to express my appreciation for the excellent training that I have had the pleasure to receive from both of you over the years ( Jeff at the Advanced Intensive trainings in Phoenix and Steve at your Basic and Advanced trainings in Florida).My question regards both of your thoughts on the need for state requirements for qualified mental health professionals to practice hypnosis. When I trained with Steve I was informed that Florida required a certain of hours of training and a certain prescribed curriculum. In Arizona ( where I live) there are no such requirements. What do you both see as the pros and cons of state requirements? ( I'ld also be interested in other folks opinions on this topic).
