Thanks Shapiro, got the paper long ago. The paper you sent: Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing...by Wilson et.al. in J. Behav. Ther. & Exp. Psychiat., 1996, 27, 219-229 is relevant. Although not directly on my discovery, the incidental finding in that study lends support to my discovery. The finding in the study referenced above is that in the EMDR group only the subjects had physiological changes and cessation of symptomatology. This is what I have been saying also: REM-like mechanism is essential for autonomic change. What is however not clear yet is that is this mechanism essential for both therapeutic and pathological autonomic change or is essential only for therapeutic autonomic change. If latter, then this mechanism is essential ingredient for the Healing State.
