In recent times the parallel work has been done by Green & Green of the Menninger Foundation using autogenic phrases. They postulate the role of imagery and they call the process as "passive volition". But, to the best of my knowledge, at least until 1987 when I first published the data, they had not published objective data supporting that indeed imagery was a critical factor in autonomic regulation. But I have to acknowledge their contribution to my thought and experiments in the sense that their papers, discussion with them when they visited my country India, and their generous donation of thermistors have made my discovery possible.
