Here are a few thoughts/questions regarding CM theory. If there are any doubts (or issues for discussion), please write to me at johngalt__@hotmail.com
1. Do people practise (or endeavor to practise) Control Mastery (assuming or desiring to assume the role of the Controller) in everyday life such as by their style of conversation, behavior, etc.? Specifically, do (some of them) believe: (a) They are better off than the rest (or the person they are talking to) (b) The other person's special skills (if any) are inconsequential - such as a businessman pooh-poohing the talent of a musician by equating it with the "business" scheme of things (Value-chains etc.)
2. Why do those who practise such behavior: (a) almost immediately assume the submissive position when confronted by one who is provably (or the de facto superior) in their own "kind"? (b) tend to motivate the group against the "special" person(s), even if such action is against their own conscience? (c) try to cloak their actions (when in a group/setting that knows no better) under the guise of a "mature adult" (Such as a very sour, nearly blind opthalmologist advising the general popluation that computer glare is actually helpful and recommended on a lengthy and continuous basis)
3. Are the behavior patterns mentioned above characteristic of some kind of mental disorder? (Can it be treated?)
4. A person's disposition consists of a mixture of: (a) His attitude (b) His tendencies of action in different situations AND (c) His abilities If a person assumes a disposition mentioned in questions 1 and 2 above, then can it be mapped to his personality? Will the constant monitoring of the person (so as to maximize b above and gather data about as many dispositions as possible) provide useful research material to answer question 3 above?
