I have nearly twenty-eight years of experience in dealing with people as a counselor, consultant, leader, pastor, psychologist, friend, etc. I have been married for thirty four years, have four daughters, three son-in-laws, three grand-daughters, and one grandson. I was in the U.S. Army for 14 1/2 years, am a disabled veteran of Vietnam, served in combat with the 82 Airborne Divison in Dominican Republic in 1962 and with the 101st Airborne Division, 1st Brigade in Vietnam during the Tet Offensive in 1967-68 where I was injured. I now have a private practice and have developed the Worley's ID Profile Software Program the 21st Century.
I encourage the professionals as well as the non-professional to participate in the BOL forum. Diversity of thought is needed to stimulate the minds of both professional and non-professionals into new and diverse ways of thinking through new applications of intellectual and emotional needs in the work enviornment.
Management needs to realize that we can learn from "everyone" not just those individuals with initials after their names. There used to be a slogan quite popular that said "When ------- speaks, everyone listens." Well my slogan is "When ANYONE speaks, I listen." We certainly don't know it all and humility is very rewarding when we come to realize that we can learn from even children.
