    Does anxiety go away or just become less severe?

    My colleague has a patient with severe panic attacks. The patient is on Xanax -.50 a day and just started Volux-50mg. This patient has been through many therapy programs but nothing 'seems to work". The patient cannot drive on freeways or any rode which has as speed limit of 50 or above. Will this patient just have to learn how to cope or can her anxiety ever really go away?
