Assimilation of psychiatric patients into the hospital culture

I'm doing a study looking at the transition of psychiatric patients from denial of their illness to medical compliance as a form of cultural and self transition. I am using the Kelly Repertory grid at two intervals to map construct system changes underlying this transition. I'd be interested in any comments or discussion. Certainly, the prison studies described in this mail list would have an interesting relationship to what I am doing. Would like to hear more.
