    Hello:

My friends, there is a difference. With my coming to FIDONet I fully understood all beauty of "deferred" communications and offline newsreading. Well, you can interact with someone in chat immediately (web-chats really must die; only IRC is the best for chat); but when you need to share your thoughts with dozens of people - your deep thoughts - and when you want to get not "rapid" replies, but want let someone will sit and think seriously about what you said, and will start to write, and change something, and start again, will work with his message... Sometimes I work some hours with messages in my conferences... they are long and it has especial sharm, better than short and often empty phrases in chats...
