I am sure that there are a lot of other problem therapist out there. Does taking a drink constitute a loss of ones ability to function as a therapist? There are a lot of therapist "out there" that drink and tell their clients not to. what does that say? Are you saying that for someone to be a therapist they have to be in "perfect" mental health. I beg to differ. Unfortunatly, I have seen a lot of so called excellent therapists, with terrible mental health. I also believe that a client is the number one responsibility, but that doesn't mean that I can't function as a good therapist. The question I was asking was not answered would it be legally wrong not to describe my past. Unfortunatly you have put me on the defensive and that is unfortunate.
