    God and natural selection...why not?
by Mary Elizabeth Coggins MSW MSA LSW, 5/17/98

I have a difficult time understanding why evolutionists can not conceive of a god or a higher power initiating, or even "creating" the process of natural selection. And even if an actual "creator" does not exist, why not God, or a god, as the philosophical manifestation of morality, or of a natural order, if you will. If man uses the concept of God as a reason or purpose for being, and if that belief fosters morality in the evolutionary process, can it not also be considered a psychological adaptation, promoting order?
