Please read my response to Daddy-o's silent girl. Also note that to date, medication has not been discussed in regard to the little boy with whom I have just begun to work. It is, however, documented that the use of anti-depressive meds. such as prozac are helpful.

As a parent and a teacher, I personally believe in trying the least invasive approaches first. I believe in the power of an understanding teacher and good behavior analysis and intervention.

Everyone's different, of course. Go with your gut.
