I don't think "free software" will ever be the case. You get what you pay for. You may wish to check out the demo's at www.sosoft.com. This is Synergistic Office Solutions site. We use their billing program Office Manager and are very pleased. Support is very good, too. We picked this software after reviewing all that was available in 1992 or 93. They also have an electronic records program called Case Manager. We don't use this yet but the demo I downloaded looks good. We are a practice of 8 psychologists and 3 clinical social workers. The billing software saves us hours. We have just started using an electonic claims filing system and the time and paper saved is enormous.
