    hello, i work everyday with 30 schizophrenia for 6 hours. Voices can cause great harm. most voices leave negative messages. my suggestion is to have your friend seek help from your local mental health agency. all of my clients are in touch with reality, that is not a symptom. schizophrenia is not curable, but very managable.
