I would like to preface these remarks with the fact that I have been home from work the past two days with a severe cold (possible a touch of the flu). I don't believe this is contagious over the internet. I look at goal oriented group behavior as comprising four primary characteristics or skills. 1. The ability of the individual to understand the goals and expectations of the organization. 2. The ability of the individual to integrate these goal into a plan of action. 3.The ability of the individual to carry out these goal within an organizational network. 4. The ability of the individual to interact/network with others within the organization. Thus, these four characteristics should be incorporated into a format the relates to your organizations overall goals. Does the individual know what he/she is expected to do? Can they incorporate this information into a plan? Do they have the capacity/power to effectuate these plans? Finally, Do they get along with others in the group? I hope this is helpful,Ed
