Jeff and I met in 1969 due to the desire we shared to begin a crisis intervention center in E.Lansing Michigan...so, I appreciate your work efforts! As for your question, it is easily answered. The "no theory" that Erickson espoused had to do with theory of personality (Structural Theory, as it were). He most certainly had a Theory of Change. That is the difference between content and process. He was very certain that content theory was an injustice to the unique talents and needs or each individual. He was only a bit skeptical or his theory of how to proceed (process). I say that (that he was a bit skeptical) since he was not dogmatic and was willing, in fact, eager, to learn anything new. I hope that helps put matters in place about that issue.
