I wasn't aware of her earlier book and will chase it sometime. I appreciate the lead and will keep you advised if I hear more about Aquatic Ape Theory.
I also need to follow-up with my reading on Hox (homebox) genes. Because they regulate so many other genes and apparently determine our structural blueprint (1 trunk, 1 head, 4 limbs, 5 digits on each, etc), a few simple changes through mutation could mimic the effects of multiple changes pressured by natural selection. Is our relative hairlessness due to immersing everything but our heads or is it part of a collection of "saltatory" changes elicited by a mutation?
I'm glad you're in the audience out there. Keep posting things!
