Re:EMDR and depression/mild social anxiety
Empirically supported treatments for depression include: cognitive behavioural therapy, interpersonal psychotherapy, and behaviour therapy. Empirically supported treatment for social anxiety includes cognitive-behavioural therapy. These treatments have been shown in clinical trials to be very effective in treating these issues. EMDR does not appear on the lists for these disorders.
