    "There is a dearth of research in this area." That says it all. We do not know. Everything else you wrote about spontaneous recovery is speculation.

    To be fair, the same point applies to my own previous comments on spontaneous recovery. I do not know that it happens. I just know that it might occur (or it might not).

    Why not just keep it simple and admit that we do not know, rather than speculate in a way that supports EMDR?
